@11q Model T moment? Exactly. So, just how many Model T are selling today? I could not agree with you more!

This makes zero sense, an EV pickup is our Model T moment, these are in high demand.

Good riddance.

One giant money-laundering work stream cancelled.

Now do the rest and start making vehicles that aren't bloated with middleman grift.

@b5 The pos train station cost ferd more than 2bln. Purchase was 1, then another for renovations. Giant massive waste of money. Then they bought the book suppository and a fu--ing church. Not sure how they got all that past the board. Oh yeah, the family has a majority, silly me.

They need to cancel Mach E and stop losing 35000 from each vehicle.

@d0 They never have. Worse yet, they never will due to their preference of hiring A$$ KISSERS as opposed to hiring A$$ KICKERS! SIMPLE!

@a8 hay you, as a reminder, DF wanted to end AM radio. BF went along with it until he got major pushback from everyone. Only then the BoD stopped him.

Ford did not have the talent to get it done

“Bill Ford Says F-150 Lightning Is the ‘Most Important Launch’ of His Career”

Anyone remember this statement? At most successful companies, when the “most important launch” of someone’s career is a complete failure, that person is relieved of their job. Why is Bill Ford still here?

@bs what took so long? The well of taxpayer funding has gone dry. Business is no longer about providing ethical products and services. Some companies do so with consumer satisfaction as a goal while others just want profits. Those who achieve customer satisfaction always prevail. They ask the customer what do they need? The failures say this is what "we" think and say you are going to neeed and get. While it is sad to watch companies crash and burn *predictably" it is rather interesting and amusing to watch pure ignorance and stupidity play out on such a massive level. Beats any movie I have ever seen. Pass the popcorn please. A little butter too!

"...as a reminder, the current Lightning is not a true Model e product offering that was developed under DF or any of the Model e leadership."

Excuse me. Did you just deflect responsibility for a failed model e product?

Saying "it wasn't me.."

Typical lack of ownership and accountability we've come to expect from Ford leadership in that area. Point the blame at someone else and promise better times ahead.

@b2 you know that Apple car failed and program was canceled, with all the talent and resources, why do you think group of outcast would do better ?

@b2 $ is nothing to Ford, they spent nearly $1B on Michigan Central Station, for what? They ki-led U759 which mind you was much farther along the launch cycle compared to CE1's first vehicle. Ki-ling U759 was around $2B in losses. P800 will also be canned, that will be another $2B if not more. Lightning will also be canned, do the math, this is major $$$ and more than the peanuts invested into CE1 Skunkworks. The entire CE1 program could be ki-led as well and all that investment would be a speck of fly sh-t on the Sun in comparison. Ford will focus on ICE and Hybrids and sail off into the sunset like Blockbuster and GE at some point. @aw Agree, Ford needs to keep producing more junk that creates more recalls. Ford's system is broken.

Skunkworks set's a high bar for talent and product delivery. JF and DF both agree, reason they gave CE1 a blank check and millions of $$$ for talent and infrastructure. Palo Alto and Long Beach are being kitted out to the ti-s for delivery of a world class product. The best Engineers in the world From Apple will deliver for Ford. Apple only hires the best of the best of the best, 0.01% two coke cans stacked manhood.

Ford invested billions of $ into Model E and lost billions of $ over the past 5 years.

The game is over. The $ is all gone. It's time to get back to the basic.

Very few people buy EVs , the EV fashion is over. It's clear. I travelled all over the US. I see the situation. The main problem with them is that they lose the resale value like a deflating balloon. You spent 80k +for the f. EV truck , after 2 years you lucky to get half of it with 20-30k mileage. Customers must be financiale mo-ro-ns to buy them. They learned their lessons already. It's over.

@a8 from what I see, this car at best 2 years away , I'm guessing preorder in the Q1 2027 for the delivery in 2028, assuming all goes right.
Nobody see the car, why do they think people will buy it, they predicted 1M EV a year in 2025, and F150 Lightning was the model T moment as well.
I'm skeptical, and that means another 8 to 10B in the red for the model e, assuming all goes right.

People, as a reminder, the current Lightning is not a true Model e product offering that was developed under DF or any of the Model e leadership.

The upcoming mobility offerings from Skunkworks and Model e will certainly bring the success that Lightning was hoping to get. If you are privileged enough to work in Skunkworks or got to get a sneak peak of what's coming, you will be excited too!

Don't let rumor hit piece stories like this one put negative thoughts in you about the BEV future of mobility.
