Audit Promotions

Does anyone know how promotions work in audit? My people manager does not do one on ones and she is beyond checked out. Thanks.

HH must think he is next and is worried about his job after his brown nosing post about Grant on another platform.

There are a couple of USAA people on my team and they are great to work with. The elephant in the room is there are so many new people and we are not doing a great job of onboarding people so they feel connected. No one seems to know anything when you ask.

So Grant brings in a former colleague from Suntrust MK, who was either let go or left on her own. She brings some former Suntrust colleagues and others from USAA and audit will magically be fixed. These same USAA former Suntrust folks did such a great job previously LMAO

Ok. D-mb question. What's the issue with AVP titles? hST gave them out so teammates qualified for extra vacation. At SunTruist they are basically useless ..... so....

@1yy+1jke6r2vy The problem with MK being unconscious about her favoritism is she tells her USAA people something and the USAA people tell each other. Now you have a two class system, the people that know and the people that do not. The other problem with only going to your usuals is no one else gets a chance. She has been her about 6 months and I am not seeing good things. Team calls are all MK AT and JW joking with each other, nauseating. I hope in the next six months she focuses on the people stuff.

I am not the original poster about MK, but I will chime in. She is a genuine person that actually cares about people. I don’t think she consciously plays favorites but like most leaders she has ones she trusts and goes to. If you started here recently since she left, then give her some time and you will be pleased

To the person that is happy MK is back, why? She plays favorites with her USAA folks.

I feel for Grant as this was not his choice. He did not want this job. We should be pointing a finger.at Bill who wanted someone who wouldn't ruffle feathers to be put in a role that he wish would just stay in the shadows. Now here we are. MAM may be out the door but the repairs needed are much greater and go much deeper. Too much was destroyed and too many people hurt because of two people's egos and inability to properly lead. The last two years was managed so poorly by Bill, prior leadership and HR. Until that is recognized nothing will be better. This place does not admit guilt but that is what needs to happen.

There have been two days in the past year where I have sung “ding do-g the wicked witch is gone”, one was about 9 months ago and the other is today. Not really sure why, the song just pops in my head sometimes.

@1dj+1jke6r2vy I am glad I am not the only one that feels that way. The USAA circus clowns is such an accurate description. They are the MUFG folks with a different clown face.

Bringing back former Suntrust people and these USAA folks is about as bad as these MUFG clowns. Circus just gets a new set of clowns for a couple of years and by then we’ll be sold and it won’t matter. ZZZZZZ wake me when it’s over.

DD, JD, and MAM destroyed this department. As if the merger was not hard enough, you bring in these three to just beat out any remaining sense of pride, happiness or joy the department had. Two down, one more to go is all I can hope for.

Yes and the Ethics Office where all the Teammate concerns complaints from audit went into a black hole of inaction, followed by RIFs. They could have protected the bank and prevented all this. Just like the Talent Sourcing or Executive Recruiters that apparently couldn’t do one tiny speck of background research on DD and JD and MAM.

EL wants to outsource, outsource the whole damn thing, get rid of everyone. Start over, again. Whomever signed off on hiring Dipsh*t DeMaio if they’re still here should be gone also, Bill, our alledged HR head and any board member who played a part in the destruction of a critical function should be gone.

I don’t think there would be a single person in the department that would be sad to see MAM leave, and if there is, they are part of the problem too.

Best story I have heard all week is that MAM's resume was floating around for a senior role at another big bank. Someone she wronged shut it down. Glad her behavior is coming back to bite.

We need an actual auditor to be the CAE. We are the laughing stock of the bank, we have no credibility, no one sees us as a trusted advisor, no one sees our benefit, and a lot of the BUs think we are incompetent (with a lot of the talent in this department forced out or allowed to leave who can blame them for thinking that). I am tired of the jokes from the business like “wow you are still around, you have lasted longer than so and so and the other so and so”. No one even really trusts our reports because of all of this. Things have to change, and yes anyone was better than DD, but it is looking like Grant isn’t the right one either.

People saying how Grant is make me want to throw up. Anyone was better than DD but come on he does nothing but talk. We need results and someone competent in running an audit department.

It takes far less than 6 months for new people to be fed up. The amount of new people looking to leave is shocking. Some want to change roles and waiting the year others looking to leave completely. TAS is such a dumpster fire.

Agreed, so top heavy at the Senior Manager and Director level, there is no room for us Managers and below to move up. To many “mangers” and not enough of us “doers”.
