@10t He couldn't do a podcast. He has almost no original thoughts and needs a whole team feeding him talking points. Maybe he's just not much of a critical thinker.
We all admit it was losing money. Even the fans. We saw the picture he himself posted of the employees 200+. If the average was 100k that’s over 20 million on just salary. For what? He can do a podcast with 3-4 people that would make be profitable.
Bring back Louis C.K.
Finally it's over. He sold out years ago.
@d2 huh? This administration is a comedy. A bad one.
A dude that indoctrinates you into the “right” (pun intended) way of thinking under disguise of comedy? Basic psychology - he makes you laugh, you adapt what he tells you? Yeah no we do not need any of that.
I am a Colbert fan but these numbers are not accurate. Also the show cancellation was talked about wayyyy before Ellison took over paramount.
@anon Clearly he did fine with late night adapting since his show was #1 in the category.
Lol, Colbert. One layoff that actually feels like a good move. Dude probably should’ve retired a long time ago.
Colbert has been terrible for years now. I genuinely don’t understand how he was still on the air in 2026. His whole hosting style feels frozen in 2016. Late night moved on a long time ago and he never adapted. Totally out of touch at this point.
Pretty sure we all already knew this. lol.
