@10j they already do it in Łódź, Poland.
@kd Confirmed
@kd
...but where are they going to take stuff out of boxes from China, put them in straight into another box and slap a "made in Ireland" sticker on them?
if they closed it then they would have to make the 800 staff remote which they dont want to do
@eb
not remote, but redundant.
@kd haaaaaa
Facilities here, i can confirm Cork will close on Oct 12th 2026. The site has been sold to IKEA.
May aswell share the source of the information or where you are hearing it...
makes no sense to close limerick, the site doesnt cost anything unlike dublin, Dell own the building in limerick. If they closed it then they would have to make the 800 staff remote which they dont want to do
Was confirmed recently on a call with the higher ups that lumerick will be closing down eoy
Big AI Factory investment in Cork construction already underway.
"They are investing substantial numbers in extending the Ovens Campus in Cork"
This rumour has been going around since what, 2014??!
Limerick being a Dell owned former dated manufacturing building. Would make sense to sell to the “neighbour” if a smaller affordable office building could be leased elsewhere in Raheen.
Mostly CXLP teams
Limerick closing, facilities contractors notified.
Zero truth in that for Cork and Limerick. Cant say I know much about Dublin site but low occupancy could put it at risk.
Hogwash I suspect
They are investing substantial numbers in extending the Ovens Campus in Cork.
Could there be a second bloodbath for Limerick like that which was seen in 2009?
No
Hearing murmurs of that around. I don’t like it’s likely anytime soon.
Which one ? Wouldn't be surprised if limerick closed
