"Let's revisit your post, shall we?"

you state this and then go on to talk about someone else's post. I'm guessing you only pay this little attention to detail at work too?

WFH may allow someone to do a Costco run at lunch time and bring the groceries home. It doesn't mean that they're not putting in a full days work.

@zb

No.

Let's revisit your post, shall we?

"you had almost 5 years to save up money from not having to go to office and not using your car"

Blanket statement, right? No "for some" or "if" in there at all. We all, 100% of us, did this. You said so. You aren't a liar, are you?

As for the other content, "nuh uh, you are" was lame in 2nd grade but here you are whipping it out, as if it were a brilliant retort.

Anyway, you continue to seem awfully worked up over what other people do. How about you focus your energy on self-improvement, as there seems to be quite a bit of work for you there.

I'm not changing my approach, no matter how many bitter, semi-coherent posts you spew.

Have fun!

@yy

If you were driving around during the pandemic, you can drive to work now, its the same. If you weren't driving around, then yes, you should have saved money then and can afford now. I see your logic is a pot meet kettle situation with jt

one once said "I hope that your work output demonstrates a little more reasoning and thoughtfulness than what you decided to "contribute" here." I agree with them when it comes to your statement

@jt

"almost 5 years to save up money from not having to go to office and not using your car"

But wait, weren't the WFHers out doing Costco runs during the work day, or so the narrative goes?

We were simultaneously spending and saving, and simultaneously driving around and not using our cars?

I hope that your work output demonstrates a little more reasoning and thoughtfulness than what you decided to "contribute" here.

Why quit? That's positive reinforcement for cruddy mandates. Nah, I'll stay till the bitter end and try my best, every work day, to do lower-quality work and take more time doing it.

Super sad if you don't align but you will have to find a way to live with it. I have no plans to be a better, more productive little corporate drone.

Why so many people complaining about having to RTO... if your that unhappy just quit!
You talk about having to spend money for gas, wear and tear on your cars... you had almost 5 years to save up money from not having to go to office and not using your car while everyone else had to actually go to work that never got to work from home are not the ones complaining about all the slackers that sat at home binging Netflix, cleaning your house, doing laundry and god knows what else on company time!
My personal opinion is that NO ONE should be able to work from home, Covid is over get back to work!!

Posted recently I’d had a tough time trying to find something in the Round Rock area. I have finally secured another role, but I’m having to go without a payoff.

Some of my colleagues are digging in, but I need to go for my sanity. Just about to hit 40 and can’t stay and wait, if I was older I’d be ok with it, cruise to retirement but I just need to go now.

Tell me about it. It's becoming more pathetic by the day. Seeing everyone turned away from screens chit chatting, managers walking the floor doing nothing, literally everyone's just here to be here. RTO was NEVER about culture, collaboration, or "human interaction". Hearing more people express their hatred for the company daily. Morale is in he-l. Our corporate leadership are losers

Agree totally but despite Tell Dell Scores in the s**tter, captain tshirt and MD will stay the course.

Remember, their goal is to make it as miserable as possible so people quit on their own and they wont have to payout severance

Stay strong....make them pay you if they want to force you out
