Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

RIsk reporting is a dumpster fire

Leaders have absolutely no idea how to stem the tide. Reports are a mess because upstream data providers are not yet fully identified. Too many systems, too many manual processes and someone sitting somewhere doing pivot tables in Excel and sending that along without due review and challenge from their own group. Risk stripe owners are too disconnected from the process and operating in silos. If Internal Audit or regulators come in for an exam, risk reporting will be doomed. But no one seems to care. The only thing they care about is making sure they get their breakfast and coffee by 9:00, lunch by 12:30, afternoon Starbucks in the lobby by 2:30 and then scooting for home by 4. The only thing to debate is whether to take a po-p break before or after the morning po-p rush hour
Sigh

Even though the new Hunger Games Coriolanus of DART is a diluted version of the previous one, he's still Coriolanus.

He also has his same demographic Hunger Games Effie Trinket. Effie goes around asking people, "Is there anything I can do for you ?"

What's the point in answering that oblivious a$sinine question when Sh!tibank wants it's employees to accept things, policies, methods as they are???!!!

And so, employees bite their tongues and do Not divulge their real thoughts & opinions.

Sh!tibank only wants to know & root out who's Not drinking the po!soned Fvcked Up Sh!tibank Koolaid!

And then look out for and watch Risk send out emails about how "successful" they were at closing MRAs and MRIAs.

Yeah, after being late months if not years after the due dates!

Selvaraj leading the group of reporting folks who’ve created a complex web.. try breaking it down and you are shown the door.. few escaped to the central data team and now they are coming down heavy. Maye continues to wreak a havoc by starting a new fire fight everyday

@ep It is so true. I once worked in risk ERM team, 2 line of defense. Nobody is doing anything, it's totally waste of time and money. My prior colleague never showed up in the office and worked from all over the wolrd!

I worked in Risk for 14 months and immediately left. Worst part of my 15+ year career at Citi. Horrible management and a serious waste of money that is overstaffed.

By Risk do you mean 2nd Line of Defense? Or like Risk and Control (MCA) reporting?
