No word it's over for us

I see many teams were told by their managers it was over, but we were not so lucky. Is it possible that more cuts will take place today, or is our manager just an inconsiderate a-s who decided it was not important enough or worth his time to let us... — read more

Nike makes people feel worthless

So many people I spoke to were given an option. Take alternate job or take package. The saddest part is that these people were considering taking the demoted, poorly paid jobs because somehow Nike management had made them feel worthless and they’d be... — read more

Fu….@k Nike

Worst company I’ve ever worked for…..thought it would be a great learning experience but haven’t learned anything and leadership is a joke. Nothing to learn from them.

We’re remote workers targeted?

I’ve heard a few rumors that remote employees were potentially more likely to get cut. They let me go and I’m remote, and everyone on my team that was let go was remote as well. But I don’t have any insight on other orgs. Thoughts? — read more

Favoritism, Bullying and Promotions

Last few years at Nike have seen extreme behaviors like bullying (folks colluding to defame teammates that are not like themselves, spreading gossip to push them out, using abusive language). Despite exhibiting these behaviors, some folks got into... — read more

Failed ERP Upgrade an No one fired

Layoffs are complete for US and Canada

Looks like only lateral moves and re-org changes left from the recent comms. Guessing some folks could still choose to leave given the options based on their changes.

Dumpster fire - be proactive!

The place is burning. Stock will sink this year. Wall St is aware of the awful management, finger pointing, mediocre product, garbled strategies, wholesale blunders. Shareholders are selling off. Paris ain’t the answer, our customer could care... — read more

Paternity Leave RFD

On Paternity Leave. Started last Monday. Decided to check phone Monday morning. Got invite for 5pm Zoom. Asked for it to be changed to sooner. Told no it should only take a few minutes. Joined meeting and was let go.

Sparknotes: The Next% Strategy

How can the ELT capture the next% increase to their compensation? How can the ELT cut the next% of headcount to make room for the first bullet? What next% of the biz can we fu-k up and still be drowning in cash? Any others?

Stop Zoom Huddles

Please LT again you have caused us mental stress with a disorg- reorg. But please dont rub our wounds with your petty 5 minute zoom huddle to tell us about your exhausion from all the calls you had to make. We dont want that right now, we don't care... — read more

For what is worth…

English is not my first language but I work in Supply Chain. We were told that layoffs were done Monday for our Team. For other teams it was Friday, Monday and Tuesday. Now, we are waiting for the re-org. We lost +15 years at the brand. Support... — read more

Used to be first and foremost about Sport...

and the minute the leaders decided to stand unabashedly and above all for big, unhealthy bodies - and other "marginalized" identities - we began a slow, painful journey to where we find ourselves today...it's a shame.

Is Brand Marketing in scope for wave 2

Geo employee here trying to figure out how we’ll all work together after all this. I’ve been reading about several functions here, who are going through their impacts this week? What about the CMO-reporting teams? Are they in scope?

Glad to be out

Nothing left to stick around for at this point. Nike has completely lost its way and lost the draw/appeal to work there. Sad but true. For those of us that were part of yesterday's RIF, consider it a blessing in disguise. Stings for sure but in the... — read more

Software engineering impact?

I heard TPM has a big impact, so wondering what is happening within engineering, any info from that area? Waiting here in Emea for the round to hit and to be honest otnis really scary.

Lose as a Team

Sitting at home, isolated from my teammates as they get knocked of one by one (and who are prohibited from saying anything), waiting for my own ax to fall, is some kind of gross, humiliating and completely unnecessary torture.

Lots of Nike Lifers let go.

The average tenure I’ve seen let go is around 20 years. Some way above that, some in the 15 range. Was the objective to get people out that knew how awesome this place used to be?

So backwards

if you want to know how all of this works, here’s the truth. Finance establishes a financial target that needs to be hit and then the drones in HR scramble to figure out who needs to go. Often it’s VPs and above deciding your fate. They have zero... — read more

Good bye, Nike

I have to move out after 10 years of service. It is not the same Nike I once got inspired with. It is full of politics and back stabbing. Hope this change soon for the betterment of my friends and colleagues who stay back. Good luck, all.

Tech Ops Weak

If the below is true and tech ops is done, we are still weaker than ever with EC and su-k ups still intact. Brutal. Fingers still crossed for severance tomorrow and don’t @ me with how grateful I should be for still having a job today.

Today: only Director and above??

It seems today was only Director, S Directors and VP etc. Anyone below a Director impacted today? Trying to assess if tomorrow is Managers and below?
