Welcome to the team! I have been with BASF since mid-2010's and have no plans of leaving anytime soon. I have received a raise every year (Up about 20% since starting). Raises depend upon level and ranking. Bonuses have been paid every year I have been here, but are based on a target, your ranking, and a multiplier. My favorite thing however is a 10% of salary 401K contribution starting your first day. BASF puts in 5% and will match at 5% if you put in 5%. Healthcare is affordable and it is not uncommon to see folks that have been with the firm 20, 30 or 40 years. Being a German company, while we in the US may not be treated as well as our European colleagues it is the best company I have worked for in the USA (I am in my 50's).
BASF does like to acquire and divest companies (BASF stands for "Buy And Sell Frequently") so be sure that you are aligned with an operating division that makes money. Good luck and welcome to #TeamBASF!
