I just heard that some accounting/finance employees were laid off from the VB office.

The Virginia Beach Processing Department that processed Preferred and Fastbreak applications were laid off at the end of September and their work and customer calls have been transferred to Tulsa, OK.

Layoffs are likely for Avis Budget Group in Virginia Beach in 2019. Departments are getting smaller and Robotics are taking over processes that were once done by humans.

The building maintenance team has been laid off and will be replaced by an outsourced provider. So much uncertainty in the building, confidence is low that any job is safe.
