Just announced, we are cutting North Sea 200 staff jobs plus 100 contracting jobs - cutting only onshore roles, not in offshore operational positions

I just got called back to terminal. Info here is reliable, I'm a contractor.
Back in December, we also noted that we would cut mid-level supervisors in oil production and refining businesses and in back-office corporate functions - this was going to happen in in early 2015, not sure what's going on right now.
How reliable this info is?
