Happy New Year! As we begin 2015, I’d like to take a moment to thank each of you for your providing your own lubricant and showing up for the regularly scheduled BOHICA “we’ll tell you later” sessions . I think of you during frequent visits to my vacation home, so thank you for selling your time and energy at such a cheap price to keep our schools open and servicing students while I travel. I hope you have harassed all high risk students into re entry status toward graduation, because I promised Dave a robust student population at all campuses purchased by ECMC. Make it happen.
We continue to work toward closing the sale of 56 of our schools to ECMC. There is no possible way we can do that by January 12, but we have February 5 as a fallback date and expect ZERO questions from you about this change. I will invent some bullshit about regulators taking vacation over the holidays for the final draft of this letter in order to buy some time.
For those of you outside of ECMC territory, we are still looking for buyers, and believe me I am a motivated seller. Kamala is shredding my balls at a rate ten times faster than the Career Services paper shredders ran during 2013. Jesus that smarts!
For the moment, the Department of Education and the Ontario Ministry of Training continue to provide funding for our U.S. and Canadian schools until the sales processes can be completed. Until further notice, your instructions are: show up, shut up, do what you are told, and repeat. That’s all you need to know.
