Heald is not shutting down, there is no truth to this.

693, you are full of shit. You're the same troll who capitalizes specific word in your posts because you think it will make what you're lying about seem important. You have no idea what our enrollment is so just shut the hell up. Posting your opinion is one thing, but posting a blatant lie is another.

Heald is shutting down. The January enrollments are SO BAD with an announcement coming out in a couple of weeks.

Why is there so much Heald hatred on this board? We existed, independently and profitably, for 147 years. Then CCi bought us. Key leaders with integrity were terminated, quality metrics suspended to enhance profits, and decisions made at CSC that made us party to the Cal AG lawsuit. Quite frankly, as a Heald employee, I am celebrating the demise of CCi and can't wait for new ownership. Oh, and as 117 stated earlier, there are no plans in place for a shutdown.

593: thanks or posting that. I was not the one stating Heald was teaching out, I was asking someone who posted that if they had any factual information to back up their statement. You and I are on the same page.

Heald is shutting down probably without a teach out.

399, On page 4 Section VII indicated that only 12 schools will be taught out. Heald was on the sale list, not the list of 12 to be taught out. Section IX discusses the sale schools. There is nothing in the literature indicating that if any sale schools are not sold within the six month time frame (from 7/8/14) that they too will be taught out. The literature reads "teach out or sale". A definitive sale agreement can still happen since there are 6 days remaining.

Just because I said it, doesn't make it true.

401, you have posted this same inaccurate bullshit several times before. You have it backwards a usual, Heald has bailed CCI out, not the other way around. Also, how would you have any clue about Heald not paying rent as well as most buildings being vacant! That is just an insanely inaccurate statement to make. Posting your opinion is one thing, but posting blatant lies is something else. Grow the f**k up and quit staring shit.

Heald is looking for a bailout from CCI which isn't going to happen. Heald has BIG problems paying the bills which includes the rent. Most Heald campuses are almost vacant buildings.

@384, what are you basing this on? Do you have any factual information or just speculation and your opinion?

Afraid it is true. Heald will be shutting down in January and likely without a teach out.

148: you really have no idea what you're talking about do you! If you did, then you would know that CCI's financial statements are consolidated, so unless you broke the 3 schools apart, you would have no idea who is profit and who is not. Thanks for playing though,

Not a chance this is true, folks. The trolls always give in to the temptation of trying to create a sense of immediacy. It's a possibility that Heald will close, but it can't happen in January. With the ECMC deal pending and ED's involvement, wanting students' programs to continue, there is more time to try and find a buyer. There is no clock about to run out.

117: Heald is not profitable and has not been for some time thanks to CCi leadership.

@117, I agree with you.

Not true. Were this the case, the accrediting agency would need to be involved, and there has been no communication on the topic. Additionally, it makes no sense to shut down a profitable division. I think to test the veracity of this statement, we'd need to ask why. If the division is making a profit, remains in good standing with the accrediting agency, and is permitted to operate by all regulatory bodies, what possible motivation could exist to shut it down?

This is an inaccurate assumption posted by a fear-monger to try to get reactions from us.

I heard that Heald would be hiring again in January. Outside of the ECMC debacle, of course.
