984: Wow, are you in for a rude awakening. I'm assuming that you're an Everest grad who went to work as an Everest admissions's rep. CCi intentionally hires admissions reps who are borderline illiterate and less-than-professional so that they are "relatable' to the target market. In a non-profit, admissions reps typically have Master's degrees and are not sales people. You would never qualify for an admissions job at a non-profit. And, no, they do NOT need admissions reps to trick people into signing up. Normal colleges have people apply on their own after researching the options in their area.
Sorry, what exactly is a motherfoe? Is it an enemy of someone's mother? Someone who has relations with someone's mother? Whose mother? Is the definition of "motherfoe" different at CCi than it is at other institutions of higher learning? err...I mean institutions of higher debt to earnings ratio of graduates. Go ahead and take me on a tour of your school of profanity. It is my job to learn your language.
Admission reps at traditional, private non-profits are almost non-existent. They manage just fine. Guess why?
We all know admissions will take a pay cut or they will find a way to get rid of the high paying admissions reps and replace them with low paid admissions reps but if not for admissions reps......HOW WOULD THE SCHOOL OBTAIN STUDENTS??!?!?! So admissions reps are valuable whether you like reps or not they are the reason why kids/adults decide to attend that school for the most part.
Admission reps are not as valuable as many of you admission reps think. In the event of ECMC hiring you, get ready for a large pay cut. Telemarketing for a non profit is not that high paying. At some point, you dreamers really need to wake up.
54950: Sorry to hear that. have a happy and peaceful Christmas.
At this point I would look forward to living off of unemployment for a few weeks/months. I am seriously in need of some stress reduction people.
When numbers are down then positions will be cut.....doesn't take a rocket scientists to figure that one out. The only dept that I can see not taking a big hit is admissions reps because they are the ones that bring the money in the door unless the lead flow reduces. But enrollments will be down so not as many teachers will be needed, career services, fin aid, etc
Captain obvious strikes again...I thought everyone would keep their jobs during the acquisition.
Common sense...enrollment is way down and you have too much overhead, what do you do? Hmm... If you look at the CEO letter they hint to instructors at the campus level remaining intact, but even then, if enrollment is down and you have too many instructors what do you? Cut instructors...
OP - I'm not sure I'm following how they (who are they? ECMC?) are "lying motherfoes." Did somebody tell you that all campus staff would receive LOIs? We were never told that.
why would this surprise you?
