One year ago (1) I thought I worked for a reasonable company. Certainly not admirable, but I thought at least we were in the ballpark of ethical standards in the industry. (2) I really believed that most of our students' lives were positively impacted by their time with us, and that they realized career opportunities from it that made their loan payments manageable and worthwhile. (3) I was a relatively secure person, feeling safe in my job. After all, I'm well educated, and a reliable, hard-working employee. Wow, so much change and so many months of stress and uncertainty! I hope all of us do well in the coming year and that Christmas 2015 will make this time in our lives seem like a far-away bad dream. Peace everyone!

Thank you K, all the best in 2015. Keep posting...
I agree 2015 is going to be a fresh start and all of our emotions can be put away.
I do have one question to ask, and I hope to get a truthful answer.
Everyone says that we ripped off the minority students and that we prayed on the uneducated... What about the thousands of individuals that did receive degree's and new careers and improved lives. I can attest to numerous Campus Assisted positions obtained by CS Reps. for there cohort/graduates these are individuals that DID have a positive outcome.
So now we move forward with the not so lucky, we have done our due diligence which is all that can be accepted. However we keep keeping on ad GIS/MOCK/OJO them to death and represent them the best we all know how to.
We at the COLS campus will do what we can until they put locks on the doors. Our students are our students (CCi) and until then we will strive for excellence and you hear it on the floor (and not just when a VIP is on the floor). Always helping and assisting, rather it be on LIVEVOX or Population call outs. Tampa you have big shoes to fill.
I wish you all a prosperous 2015
Let's Be Positive!
K, I agree with everything you said. When we work for an organization where "value" is said to be rooted in educating the non traditional student an thus changing their lives, we make a decision to trust that the employer's stated mission is true. Sadly, that has not been the case for us, and the original intent of the student loan and for profit system has been tainted beyond recognition. So to my friends, colleagues, and my beloved students, God bless each of you this Christmas Day. Peace on Earth.
Good luck to everyone in 2015.
I'm not sure Everest/CCI had ever been considered "ethical" within the for profit school circles. lol I mean I've been in this industry for over 10 years and I have never heard anything positive or good about CCI. I'm just saying
Ah, yes, 2014: the year that the golden dream of Socle was burst and we saw the mighty false pillars crumble. Well, CCI will be history soon. Dust to dust...
K - I just want to echo your sentiment. Have a happy holiday season and good luck to all of us this coming year. May 2015 be less stressful and more rewarding than 2014 was!
