Has anyone heard anything about the California schools?

956, you indicated, "Amazing that someone can destroy a company without proving one single thing in a court of law." The only people that destroyed the company were the executives. Get real! Put blame in its proper place!
@966, thanks for sharing your perspective with us.
I'm glad to live in California. Glad that we have an AG with some balls, glad that I can take stress leave when I need it without some redneck calling me a "welfare queen", and glad that the sun is almost always shining! I moved here from a nasty, red, blue-collar NE small city, and it is like moving from night to day. Go Kamala! I can get another job, but I won't be able to get my rights back once they've been trampled into oblivion by big business.
The Cali AG is only trying to making a campaign ad "Kamala got tough on for profit schools) Amazing that someone can destroy a company without proving one single thing in a court of law. Cali hates any big business. All they want are crops and illegals to pick them
@979, it's not that "Nobody wants to buy Heald, and the Cali AG is blocking that Cali Everest locations from being part of the ECMC deal." Heald and the other California Everest and Wyotech schools are all part of the suit, and no one wants to take on the liability of having to fight it.
If they are purchased, it will be someone willing to stand up to the AG...brass balls!
Its just a technicality, but the reality is that the AG is not blocking the sale of CA campuses. She is simply refusing to release a new owner from liability based on her lawsuit. A company could buy the schools - but would then have to deal with the lawsuit. So far - and with good reason - no buyer has ben willing to absorb that issue.
797--I'd like to know your evidence for your information other than pure speculation based on previous posts.
It's not looking good. Nobody wants to buy Heald, and the Cali AG is blocking that Cali Everest locations from being part of the ECMC deal. She'll do the same if they get another suitor. At this point it looks like you're SOL. Sorry!
If you work in a CA school find a new job. The CA AG will not let a sale happe. With transfer of all regulatory and legal issues. Further more the sale of Everest Plus leaves all the legal issues behind with CCI. If CCI can't find a way to generate serious revenue they will be forced to shut down all the campuses in CA
Cali is a tough market.....the gov't is hitting you CCI hard. If you don't pray you might want to start now!
Nothing - just the same old "hang in there, things are going to change"...yeah they are - the student pop is in a nose dive and falling fast!
