I LOVE this place. They actually promote me on a regular basis. They recognize good workers.

Very well put Anonymous68743, and very diplomatic in your comments about Lisa's view. I wouldn't have been as nice. I probably would have mentioned Lisa's arrogance and naivety about her belief in her abilities to protect her from getting laid off.
Oh Lisa - such a simplistic view! Especially to those who worked hard, supporting the company 24x7, getting excellent reviews and kudos, only to be shown the door upon reaching a certain age or tenure. Yes there were and are malcontents but most of those laid off last year or who have had their positions eliminated - again due to age or tenure, were not malcontents. Those folks also drank the Kool-Aid and believed hard work and dedication would save them only to be a number on the books to be eliminated in a humiliating exercise. A company who encourages engagement quickly fails when laying folks off as there is no upfront conversation - only a rush to get em out the door practiced by HR. Executive mgmt does not recognize the hypocrisy, nor care.
Yeah, talking with you makes me feel icky.
Yes people reep and they sow. DST management knows if you are an unwilling, unhappy employee and they will of course treat you as such.
Yeah, I guess Lisa believes that everyone gets exactly what they deserve at DST. If you are unhappy with your job, boss, employment situation (laid off?), well guess what? Lisa says you deserved it and brought it all on yourself.
Oh good. Life is good for you there. I'm glad. Good luck with those rose colored glasses from on top of your high horse.
DST is a typical employer. If you work hard, and your manager sees that, then you will get promotions, raises, bonuses and promise of a nice career track upwards. If you complain and moan, then you will get NOWHERE! Dst knows who the "malcontents" are and NOT rewarding them!
Actually, yes. But this post was a response to the previous post entitled "More to come"
Why do you think so? Can you provide us with some details of your experiences.
