What is the general feelings going around at the Boca HQ with the news of the Staples bid. If it goes through there may be no need for that office anymore. Will the state even be able to give enough tax breaks to entice Staples execs to bask in the sun and tax free?

Staples has $1b in cash and another $1b in credit. A $10m tax credit means. Nothing to them. Their home office has free dry cleaning. 'Nuf said.
Consider the Boca HQ closed if the merger happens. The redundant positions will be eliminated. I was a former CE person and our Broomfield, CO HQ is pretty much a ghost town. Everything was transferred to Boston. I'm glad I'm out of the hell hole Staples created. Get your resumes in order and get feelers out there for when the layoffs hit in 2016.
