Rumors have it Walgreens corporate in Deerfield will eliminate mass positions starting this Friday. Law Department and others in many areas will be obliterated and many great worthy people will lose their jobs while only keeping some worthless high paying Directors in those areas who haven't done work in years. Work will be outsourced and the downfall of Walgreens/Boots is well on its way. Stock Holders and Higher Ups will of course profit while the everyday employee and customer will continue to suffer. Big Corporate at it's finest. Way to go Pessina. Soon he will obtain enough stock and share to be able to move this corporate entity to Switzerland like he did with Boots and swindle billions of tax payers dollars out of the country. Walgreens/Boots will dwindle as they have for years in customer service and management until they become the likes of Sears, JCPenny and Radio Shack. Once a great company crumbling before our eyes

Retired from Walgreens 1 year ago. Spent 20 years in the mail order pharmacy and left with approximately 900 employees still working there. I visited after 8 months into my retirement and was told that the facility was down to 150 employees. Good luck to all.
Yes, sadly this is so true! People working there have been carrying a workload unbeknownst to many. Only to get no raise or degrading performance reviews. The company has been on a downward roller coaster as they cohesively convince internal employees that they will benefit and the employees later discover that their jobs have been outsourced or given to a temp. How this happened to one of the greatest companies is a text book study! Yes, Boots plans on taking it over but will ruin it first.
