Everyone here is posting nothing but negative things about the leadership. Why are you still working here? If you hate it that much you should have left a long time ago. You all are the ones sitting on your ass surfing the Internet or in your friends office spreading gossip all day! You are being negative because you know you're the low hanging fruit that's about to be cut!

There you go again. How about doubling down again and see how that turns out for you. No wonder Chesapeake was running for the gates to dump Chaparral a couple of years ago.
The only promise Chaparral has made to anyone is to, while employed by the company, pay them a certain amount of money and benefits for a certain amount of work. The promise of loyalty and prosperity is what we think they owe us. The promises they have made however are outlined in our employee handbook.
I believe a lot of the "complainers" are still here because of all the empty promises the company they've been busting their ass for has been making! You are obviously one making the promises, which are lies. Or you are still a believer.
I wonder if CCMP feels like Fischer has been "playing well" with the company.

Your vote, opinions, wisdom or lack there of don't count. It's Fischer and the other owners of the company who have the say. It's their toy and they can play with it anyway they chose.
62667, I agree completely with you. However, we have to make sure we do not procreate the definition of insanity and allow those that have made the bad decisions to work harder at continued bad decisions...the results will be the same unless that changes as well.
employees are stressed and rumors are out of control. good people will likely lose their jobs and this is not a good thing. i hope this event is completed next week and those who still have jobs can start working towards building a better company.

Agree. Look,bad decisions have been made and it is natural for some to take it personally. The quickest way to get out of a predicament is to understand why you are in a predicament to begin with. Taking the approach that we are a victim of low oil prices is exactly why we find ourselves in a position to not have the courage to admit our mistakes and move forward. The leadership was too aggressive and a rush to judgment almost always results in a less than optimum outcome...sometimes a defunct company.
I may very will be gone. If so life goes on. I know I worked my butt off for this company. If not I will continue to do so. My point is quit complaining about leadership. If you don't like it then why are you still here? Drawing your paycheck!
To say that everyone is negative is bs. So far I'm the only one trying to add a little perspective. It's easy to point out the flaws in everyone else when you aren't the one making the decisions. There are some who want to complain about the leadership as well as anything else that would stir up gossip around the water cooler. People that are perpetually negative agaric ate me as well.
I don't think however that just because someone post on a website or passes on hearsay makes them low hanging fruit. Some people are just afraid and that helps them process it.
