Is it too much to ask?

So I've got a close friend (and ex-CCI colleague) who is in HR at a major, major Tampa Bay employer. We had dinner this week and he was mentioning all of the Socle folks who regularly turn in their resumes for jobs there. I knew about some of them, since I have provided references for them and they have done the same for me. But the list also includes a lot of names that I had believed were the hard-core kool aid drinkers. The people who always say "I'm not looking for a job and you shouldn't be either. Everything is going to work out fine for us here!" So... what? You were trying to pacify people so you would have less competition in the job market? You're not interested in being supportive of the others who are looking? Well, YOU'RE the one missing out. You're not in the group, and you're not getting our support e.g. job leads, references, etc, etc. Also, if you're one of the idiots who's been on this site posting the "Socle is Golden" and other bullshit, then screw you! Is it to much to ask that you be a decent human being?!?

Business is business. Everybody has the right to look for a better job. But if their current job is tote people how great their job is, what are you going to do? Why take it personally? I don't understand.

Smells fishy.

You are asking CCI employees to be decent. Think about that for a moment. In an organization primarily employed with mud sharks, druggies, and ghetto rats....you are asking for decency. CCI is home to the lowest common denominator. If you don't believe me...just look around your work area. Stop being retarded.

Anonymous62135: there is something to be said for speaking in confidence to a close friend. I don't know about HR types, but you wouldn't believe what I hear from lawyer and doctor friends. Of course, they know I'd never pass it on.

And what does it say about that HR person that they would give out that kind of information outside of their work environment?

OP: don't take this the wrong way, but there's something wrong if you have a "close friend" in HR at a "major, major employer" and you're still at CCI. Maybe you need someone to look over your resume or practice some mock job interviews with you?

So, this is totally off subject, but you're Socle and I don't want to start a brand new thread. We're having a DS and mistress watching party tonight to see if they meet up at the same place in Ybor that they were spotted at last week. Just an FYI. It could get very, very interesting!
