Things are starting to unravel, Shell will go through massive layoffs as prices will go down and the whole industry will remain depressed for a while? Is this only a 2015 thing, will it be longer? I have no clue, but I know that there are larger forces in play her and there is nothing we can do to stop this. It’s peaks and valleys for us and we need to adjust to the new normal which is very cheap oil. I think the Russians will not be able to play bully anymore and that after some time they will agree that being a bully in Ukraine is not cool and they will withdraw after which prices will stabilize. That’s my prediction, but in the mean time we will see pink slips flying and we’ll be having people lose jobs and families without income. Is Shell the only company that will suffer? NO! Here in Houston pretty much all companies are having layoffs right now, if you are in Oil business you will have issues at this point, big guys like SLB or HAL are already cutting resources and laying people off, so while services get hit first, it’ll hit both upstream and downstream very quickly and Shell will not be able to avoid layoffs.

The Russians? No.
It's the KSA that has been playing "bully" for over 50 years. Do your homework, history speaks loudly.
Just search news about BP Layoffs, there is a few good articles outlining what might happen as it relates to BP and Layoffs in 2015.
Any updates on the cuts, I see that BP is cutting a lot this week
Let's hope for the best and that oil prices recover soon
