Thread regarding VMware Inc. layoffs

Tough days ahead

Here's the problem

  1. Myopic leadership - Higher ups are absolutely clueless as to what's happening at the ground levels

  2. Push for faster releases with unnecessary product add ons makes the products released buggy, difficult to troubleshoot and unnecessarily complex (SSO anyone?)

  3. Most workplaces are becoming breeding grounds of favouratism and groupism

  4. Zero transparency in decision making at all levels

  5. The push to replace talented work force with cheaper "trainable" workforce means all talented folks make a beeline for the nearest exit

  6. No ground breaking products in over four years. Yes there were acquisitions. But that does not count as product enhancement. That essentially means as a company you are now failing to innovate

  7. Absolutely no way for the lower rung employees to provide constructive feedback.

The way I see it, VMware is headed for tough times ahead!
