COMPLICITY and Its Consequences

@Anonymous59559 and others, what you are referring to is "COMPLICITY." While a comparison to genocide would be hyperbolic, it took lots of people "looking the other way." I'm guessing that there had to be a "culture of silence" also. I have great admiration for Everest librarian Laurie McConnell who blew the whistle on CCi after she was ignored by her administration. The first part in making change is to be educated. So here's the first thing to read. Please ensure that you read the ENTIRE article.......https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corinthian_Colleges

OP: Seriously?!? You are instructing (more like ordering -- "Please ensure that you read the ENTIRE article!") us to read a WIKIPEDIA article about OUR OWN company? You don't even work for CCI and you never have. What the hell is the matter with you that you think we know even less than you do?

Anonymous59828: Why would a Wells Fargo employee send an email to that conspiracy nut? Seriously, the guy's just crazy.

816 - actually, he said he "just" received an email from a WF employee and that article was supposed to show that WF was behind the fall of CCI. I'm not sure how he made that connection...it just said WF owned some shares.

789: I won't be feeding him anything. I like his ideas (or thought I did), but it's true that whenever anyone disagrees with him that thread gets pushed down. And if the latest thread is really by him, it's from 2013. What the heck? That's not something someone trying to be helpful would post.

CK - no reason to pay any mind to the mindless dribble that continues attacking you. Those of us that know who you are and what you stand for will keep feeding you the facts!

765 -- CK just realized he brought a dull knife (his brain) to a gun fight. He's started posting tons of short nonsense posts so nobody sees how you made fun of him! So, just in case anybody still had any doubts as to who it was doing that...so lame, CK, so f***ing lame.

Camden Kid: You were ADAMANTLY clear that words like "genocide" were going way, way too far in describing CCI employees! You said so in no uncertain terms: "While a comparison to genocide would be hyperbolic, it took lots of people 'looking the other way.' I'm guessing that there had to be a 'culture of silence' also." What person could read that and be offended?!? That would take some seriously overly sensitive highly-educated and hardworking CCI employee, wouldn't it? Someone really, really messed up...who likes to imagine himself the equivalent of some lofty college instructor just because his education and job title says so...who likes to dwell on slights...who seems to have lots of time on his hands for stewing in his own self-loathing...oh, wait, now I'm just describing you. How did THAT happen?

I'd never been interested before, but these posts convinced me to check out Camden Kid's website. Folks - don't bother. This guy is a serious nutcase, with rants about everything from conspiracy theories (not just 9/11, but Sandy Hook as well...really?!?) to anti-vax nonsense. I'm voting to ignore anything that Camden Kid posts from now on.

Camden Kid -- Wow, are you on this site ALL DAY LONG? Are you an unemployed Everest grad? Is that why you're so mad? And how the heck do you have so much free time on your hands? I'm not trying to be mean, but Holy Cow you like to cast aversions! It sure sounds like you get really defensive when your offensive name-calling gets questioned. Just lay off. Seriously, do you even have a job?

@Anonymous59723, I didn't bring up genocide. Someone else did. In fact, I said that the comparison was "hyperbole."

@Anonymous59703 and 59703, I'm not sure what you mean by "high horse."

There have been people who did the right thing during economic recessions and worse. Not always quitting the job, but RESISTING in some form.

Are you saying that all the people who were complicit had sick or starving children? Please explain this further.

Camden Kid -- why would you even bring up genocide?!? You sound like you're saying that the average CCI employee is like an SS guard. I guess that's one (very whiny) perspective. Another is that an adult should be able to read and sign a contract and make reasonable life decisions. If they don't it's not called being taken advantage of...it's called a life lesson. Sounds like you were given one and decided to make it your hobby to whine about it instead of learning from it. We all know that Zenith will be just like CCI which is just like other proprietary schools which is a growing industry. Deal with it!

Camden Kid; you can be sure there was a culture of complicity and almost all employees were actively involved in some level of tax dollar or consumer fraud. The only ones I can imagine that could have not been (let's just ignore the liars) would be so dumb as to be unlikely to be hired anywhere. But what you don't understand is that there were regular firings, and EVERY ONE of them were the people who knew the government regulations (in my area that's Title IV) and would not commit fraud. We could anticipate who was going to go by their experience and integrity. The economy is just starting to improve and many economists are saying that the mega-recession we're crawling out of was actually more like a depression. In times like that you can't expect people to quit their jobs to make an ethical statement. And that's what it would have taken, so we kept quiet and went along with the fraud. Except for Admissions and Management, we all feel bad about it.
