For those IT people still at Strayer, how much time do you think you have left before you will be unloaded? Is there anything you plan on doing to slow down the process (resistance)? Has anyone talked about organizing with a trade union? Have you seen the latest issue of CyberTrend? It sounds like if people don't organize where they are, there won't be any place for job security........... http://www.cybertrend.com/

@Anonymous59177, that's what some people call a "union buster." They go by other euphemisms (e.g. "legal consultant" "human relations expert") but they are all union busters. Management must have sensed that someone is talking union and will try to root them all out. One way to find out if a person is pro-union is if they talk about "democracy," "justice," or "fairness." It's illegal to fire someone if they are trying to organize, but that doesn't stop corporations from harassing and threatening their workers, and digging up dirt for termination....... http://teamsternation.blogspot.com/2011/01/video-confessions-of-union-buster.html
at a recent strayer faculty meeting, an invited guest was a lawyer and legal consultant who spoke at length about "what to do if you, your students or your campus is contacted by union organizers" this is a first time this has been discussed in my years at strayer
