Thread regarding Lockheed Martin Corp. layoffs

2015 Morale Boosting Plan

Our employee morale here at Lockheed is at an all time low due to many years of layoffs, trimming, AMDR contract loss, and steady but significant erosion of employee benefits. Don't get me wrong, I get that we have to make personal sacrifices to stay competitive, but please note that employees cannot ignore layoffs as they destroy us psychologically but small things would go a long way in boosting our employee morale. Why do not we try with free coffee, water, juice, etc.. Maybe we come up with something reasonable for 10 or15 year anniversary gifts. An actual Christmas party would not hurt as well. It is just sad to see how deep we cut and how miserable our workers feel, I think everyone is just spent due to layoffs.

Does anyone know the difference between a voluntary lay off/early retirement and a straight lay off? Does anyone have any information regarding employee reduction due to the F-22 program closing in Palmdale, CA.

Accepting free juice, free coffee or a Xmas party is a chump's substitute for meaningful compensation. You can do better.
