I have no insider info, I just have a gut feeling that Jan and Feb of 2015 might be very difficult and that we may have a reorg that will turn things upside down at Covance

Layoffs at Covance/LabCorps in Indianapolis indeed occurred and several individuals that had faithfully served Covanace Central Labs in Indianapolis for 15+ years were dismissed. I know because I was one of them. As one individual stated, it was actually age discrimination. My dismissal was due to a high salary earned through hard work and dedication . Just months before the dismissal, I was nominated for the Covance Way award and given an "Exceeds Expectations" performance evaluation.
There have been silent layoffs all year long and there was a big reorganization. Upper management are either heading over to early clincal or "moving on". There is also talk of reducing the real estate in 206. Major downsizing to come with the hope of subletting the space to generate extra income? The writing is on the wall for late stage.
