Your bonus (if it happens) lies solely on your review score given by your boss. And they will make any excuse not to pay out.

If stores that make budget and Csat are denied their full bonuses again and Sargent and his cronies are paid bonuses there will be hell to pay. He should know this already, but his sheer greed and arrogance may prevail over wisdom. (prediction, based on current direction of the company, not a personal threat)

I haven't seen a bonus since the merger was completed.

There is also a factor of store sales and profit, csat and other factors to trigger bonus payout in the stores. And anyone with an eval below meets expectations does not qualify even if their store hits. Though if they got an eval of "does not meets expectations" they should see the writing on the wall and quit anyway.

My point is that there are a lot of metrics Framingham can screw with to avoid having to pay out bonuses. With their attitude of trying to avoid paying severance in closure situations I would expect the same for bonuses.

They claim they are on track as long as Q4 goals are met. We got a broadcasted email from a VP. However, there is also the issue of who will be around to actually get one if Staples does meet EPS goals. With all the planned layoffs and threats of termination to avoid having to pay severance it seems doubtful..........On a related note, did Sargent successfully change the criteria for Exec bonuses to pay out? If field managers are denied bonuses and Sargent, Parenos and their cronies take undeserved bonuses again there will be a riot at the share holder meeting next year.
