I just don't think it's in her best interest to try to block a sale
THis is what one article said "Hawn said ECMC chose not to purchase the Everest and WyoTech schools in California because of concerns about legal liability stemming from a pending case against Corinthian by California Atty. Gen. Kamala Harris."
The Wisconsin lawsuit involves only one campus.
But Wisconsin's suing, as well. Why were they bought, and not California schools?

Articles are stating that ECMC wanted to stay clear of Kamala Harris.
729, you act as though it was the California AG who is in the wrong here, not the schools for their scummy practices, which you KNOW happened. Heck, I even taught a developmentally challenged (what used to be called retarded) student.
Yes - the lawsuit - not criminal investigation. Sorry.
730, are you referring to the pending lawsuit?
I have to believe that the reason ECMC did not also buy Heald was refusal of the California AG to back off on her pursuit of the criminal investigation. If that does not get resolved, there may be no buyer for Heald. Let's hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst......

From a business perspective, this makes sense. CCi needed to be broken up. This then allows for a "cleaner" (relatively speaking) sale of Heald.
Key operative words only parts of CCI are being sold. It won't help the employees as student enrollment continues to fall. Expect ALL of CCI schools in California to shut down because of the lawsuit.
