Thread regarding SAE Institute (formerly the School of Audio Engineering) layoffs

Music Business and Digital Journalism - Does anyone know when/ if we are starting those programs?

I need to know if I'll have a job or if I'll be on the chopping block as well. I heard Bill Smith was termed and he developed new programs.

I like the idea of new programs, but not sure if these are the ones that we need.

I heard that the music business programs at the campuses that do have them aren't really moving the dial in enrollments. I doubt they'll start the new programs

Bill Smith did not develop new programs. The new programs were developed before Bill Smith was even hired. The CA campuses had been pushing to get approval for these programs from BPPE and ACICS for almost two years at this point. I don't know how SAE will move forward with them from here, but with the new LA campus opening at a great cost, and with a lot of space, they're going to need to do something to fill that space and get some return on that investment.
