Lockheed Martin WAS an outstanding company in the past but the large number of losses on a wide variety of recent proposals has senior management very worried.
Goodyear will transfer in phases to Littleton and Valley Forge, some of this has been completed, more will follow in 2015.. Also, additional cuts in Newtown, Akron, Horizon City and smaller cuts down in Sunnyvale.
So, in what markets do we really have competition? We are a legal monopoly in 99% of cases. Really.
Well, at least it is true they make billion$ mostly in captive markets where they have squeezed out the competition. In areas where there is real competition it is a different story.
We are still a world class company that makes tens of billions of dollars.
What company in the world has no issues?
Ditto - LM is a great company with a ton of issues.
Give me a break, Lockheed Martin is an outstanding company and you should be proud to have it on your resume. If you do not like it here please leave. LM is a leader in so many fields and has an amazing history. We crush most of our competitors all the time and our managers are better than most managers out there. The work we do is sophisticated an unique. Why do you hate Lockheed Martin so much?
