USA Today is going to cut about 60 to 70 jobs, mostly in the newsroom. Even people who used to work for them for over 30 years were asked to home.

After working over 40 years at the site in DE, many off myself and colleagues have been given options drop down to part time, take a servance, or take a management job with high ratio's in a production area to complete. We are given a week to get back to them. WTF, are you serious, what happens if we take the offer then get fired. We're thinking about walking. Please comment what do you think?
Do you really think that things cannot be worse? Many shops completely closed, why do you think we might be immune?
That's horrible, my partner works for the LA Times, pretty much the same thing, they have been getting hammered for a while now. Most of the good folks left and the whole operation is shrinking rapidly. Good luck to all of you at USA Today...
