Depot Max let 80 District Managers go. The ones left are insane on the pressure to recover the store, and LOD. And freight done by 11am the next morning. As far as selling. Much less pressure. But when there is time, consultant with customers and try to sell them payroll services, credit card processing, hiring services, and go daddy services. All with $4000 payroll per week.

maybe a merger would be the best for the independent office supply dealers,,then staples will go down like the titanic

I don't think Ron's listening because he probably turns his hearing aids off through the work day, that's why he's always so chipper, he has no idea the company is tanking like the Exxon Valdez.

I don't think Ron is listening. He also doesn't want to hear any feedback from you! He's doing a great job! So good in fact he gave himself a bonus! I vote to give myself my bonus that I earned in 2013 that Staples stiffed me on. Who needs to hit EPS when your the CEO? Not Ron! #ethical #moraleboost #itstoughbeingaCEO

Yeah here in Framingham it's been the buzz, sounds like even though execs are hesitant, it's almost a necessity. It's the first uptick in our stock in a long time. Goodbye wasteful DM, RVPS, SVP staff haha...

Two bad do not give you one good. How would this merger help fight Amazon on the consumer/retail side (corp purchases are different and we are fine there) - It's too late for any move in this area, game over, we need to downsize quickly to cut losses.
