Thread regarding Heald College layoffs

Quick Survey for Heald Employees

So, based on some of the rumors floating around it may be possible that CCi sells the majority of Everest campuses, SOCLE, and CSC services to one buyer. That potentially leaves CCi running Heald.

If Heald remains with CCi will you stay or will you go?

It's my understanding that CCI has 6 months from when the agreement was signed, or mid January to either sell or teach out. I don't think CCI staying in business after that is an option.

Keeping Heald or any other school is not an option. CCI must sell or close it.

Maybe no one wants to but it. There are a bunch of lawsuits. That leaves us stuck and out of work.

Heald is the school. CCI is the corporate entity that owns it.

Wrong! They do not need to sell Heald per the agreement, and probably will not unless it is the right price. No where does the agreement say if they do not sell that they will close the school. Also, agreements can always be amended.

Silliest rumor yet. CCi must sell all schools by January, non-negotiable.

WASC would not allow this outcome. Heald has been around over 150 years, and CCI has trashed it in just a few years. IF CCI were to keep Heald (which would never happen), WASC would pull accreditation.

Think for a minute about how illogical that outcome would be.

It's not going to happen. CCi has already told the DoE that it's going to try to sell Heald. This was part of the agreement that allowed it to continue operating.
