Polish up your resume. The company just went through talent assessment. It plans to keep the best talent available. PIPs will come hot and heavy to those that didn't score well. Plan is to have enough vacancies that no severance will be paid out. Don't take it personal. It is just business.

Is there a list of stores in each region that are closing yet?
25 have to be vacated by Halloween due to existing leases expiring and not included in the above numbers. But add them together and you get the 400 that some news agencies had reported. I don't think the Staples scenario will repeat here as far as tons and tons of stores closing. Staples wants to be online only with 200 showcase stores. Office Depot wants 1000 stores. But kiss your assistant managers goodbye next year.
