Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Raytheon Layoffs

I am opening this thread to focus solely on layoffs - post if you are aware of any layoffs. Please indicate what Raytheon group you are referring to, what levels and positions are affected, dates and locations of the folks that are being let go. RIFs are hard for everyone, what's even harder is not knowing what is going on which is the case right now. Raytheon will not volunteer information but we can collectively assemble parts of the story.

Raytheon not allegiant to employees as they once were.

Nor do they support combat vets as they once did.

Very sad for all employees who were allegiant to Raytheon.

All of this stuff listed below is public information, just go pull any 10K report or our Wikipedia entry and you'll see the groups clearly listed over there. There is no need to scare people with legal stuff and secret agency shit.

Last time I checked, we still have freedom of speech in this country protected by the constitution. From what I can see from the posts, nothing "classified" or proprietary has been discussed or leaked in this forum.

Perhaps, if there were more open communication within the company surrounding it's current plans including Rifs/layoffs (planned or anticipated), it would obviate the need to have this forum to allow others to share.

You guys really think you can just freely say anything here. I bet that if I start mentioning some classified information here, the term "anonymous" will quickly cease to exist and the track-this-disgruntled-ex-employee will commence. Man...I miss the 1900's.

A few months ago several employees, mostly long-timers, of ESystems (Raytheon) were cut. Older employees mostly, almost all had retirement packages grandfathered via ESystems. Raytheon wanted to spare costs of ESystems retirement program, so they disregarded decades of service the folks had.
