Thread regarding Heald College layoffs

Heald has lost control and it's a nightmare

We have no attendance policy. We have no enforceable plagiarism policy. We have no limits on the amount of bullshit we tolerate from students. Our worst, most pathetic students set our policies for us, and as soon as we think our standards cannot get any lower, we lower them again. The inmates run the prison. The nuts run the asylum. The retards run the....whatever. I've never seen anything like this. It's shameful and embarrassing. Heald doesn't deserve to be sold; the school deserves to be shut down because we no longer provide any useful service to anybody.

Students who get financial aid without attending class are committing a crime. Report it as a crime.

My only complaint in my time as an instructor is that students are not dropped on day 1 for no attendance. In-fact, at our campus they can stay on roster as long as week 10 of 11 without a single day of attendance. I went to local JC and CSU from there and both had a policy of drop for no attendance on day one. I know why for profit is like this, but I feel like I am just ass wiping some retard when they show up for the first time midway or later in the quarter.

For a for-profit "career college" that operates out of rented office space, having only 20% to 30% of the students in the "complete joke" category is really very good. It's just pretend college. It isn't real college. You would think all the students would be "a complete joke" and not just a small percentage.

20-30% of my students are a complete joke as college students and should be dismissed. Maybe it is poor management. Maybe it's me. It's nuts here.

Huh? That is not what is going on here in Stockton. The only change over the last 5 years is about dress code. That policy is gone. Everything else is still in place. Maybe your campus has poor management.

Mine either. We have an occasional one that slips through, but it certainly is not typical.
