Dear 22577, you are absolutely right. We used to hold our heads high. However, we've been scrimping by for a long time, asked to make do with less and less and less. I can no longer accomplish what I used to because current resources are so low. We're like one of the twelve districts in The Hunger Games, feeding the people at the Capitol (CCi) with our profits.
My personal hope is that our new owners will allow us to bring back our phenomial IT team, with its high level of expertise and passion for Heald. I once heard that 96% of the IT staff were Heald graduates. You can't buy their level of commitment. Anyone notice how slow and crappy our network connections are? Thanks a lot, CCi.
The irony in all of this is our screen savers advertise the CCi values of integrity.
We've lost so many great employees in the last year, whether they were laid off or got better offers. I'm just afraid that the soul of the school is too diluted now.
I have heard that there are multiple potential buyers interested in Heald College, and CCi's goal is to identify the new owner by mid-August. Let's hope the new owner is better than the current owner.

That's a crap attitude. "People who can't get into college...." Education should be an option for everyone who wants it.

Heald used to be a good little business college. That is a fact. It isn't in the same category as traditional colleges and should not be compared to them. That's like comparing the Cal State campuses to Cal Berkeley or UCLA. The Cal State institutions are designed for people who can't get into Berkeley. Two different systems for two different sets of learners. There should always be options for people who want to improve themselves, and for a very long time (pre-CCI) Heald provided a good option.
That school was never great don't get crazy now. It's still people who can't get into real college. You people I swear.
Heard similar info-no date attached but people previously involved with Heald are apparently the buyer and want to close as quickly as possible to get distance from CCI before more damage is done to the Heald brand.
Buyer was trying to get CCI to sell prior to the DOE sanctions. Been in the works for a while
Since they were previously involved with Heald they know the business and know that Heald can be saved and made great once again.
