I can only assume the original person that posted this thread is trained in the brainwashing RJ room for D-Bags. Its probably a training session off site with a nice suite for a few days. Congratulations you now have passed the RJ corporate culture class. It is understandable that IT and OPS would get cut in a true environment when money needs to be saved. Keeping dead weight and over inflated salaries at the expense of lives that do not depend on getting their yearly bonus for a new BMW does not make sense. Cut costs at the top and filter down. The overlap on positions or saving money starts at the top. Read the annual reports.

There are paper and button pushers at RJ that will never understand corporate strategies and how things unfold. It's slow, very calculated, and always has a specific intended purpose. Do you truly believe that the ONLY department at RJ that was "over staffed" and "costing too much money" was IT?

When companies want their bottom line to look better, they will always cut cost centers more deeply than anywhere else in the firm. IT and Ops are the biggest cost centers RJ has.

It's not fear mongering. It's not speculation. You can choose to believe what you want and shout from your anonymous soap box.

Since you're reading and posting here too, you must have nothing better to do either. I'll leave the formal D-bag judgment of you up to your mom, but it is probably a yes.
