Thanks for using Heald as your playground for the last year. Turning the place into a joke and circus. Now Eeva and the rest of are here to clean it up. So much went to the wayside because of you. We needed a serious leader, not someone with no experience who just wanted to play with our campuses.

It is really simple as far as qualifications go. No university of substance hires a president who does not possess a Ph.D or Ed.D.
If she lacks the formal aforementioned education then she is unqualified, period.
Hire a president with BOTH experience AND formal education. Toss out the uneducated and inexperienced, and maybe our college will be respected in the edication community again.
Truman, Washington, Lincoln.... Who are U.S. Presidents who did not have a college degree.
A college president needs a terminal degree for academic credibility. Having a college president who isn't qualified to teach a single class at the college makes the college look like a joke.
Eeva makes good decisions, and in my experience she wants to do what's right for the student and then does it. She has integrity and treats people well. Is she perfect? No. Can she run the college during this difficult time? Absolutely.
Anonymous 19301 - Do you know how to spell Doctorate? Get off our board.
She has a bachelors degree in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. No graduate degree. Look it up. The information is available online and in the college's printed catalog. Would any legitimate college hire a person who has no graduate degree to be its president? Not many would do that, but Heald has done it. Why? Because Heald does not take academics seriously enough. That has to change, and it probably will if we are sold.
Are you sure about her qualifications? How could a college hire her as president without a doctorite degree ?
It looks like there is a two tiered system. Traditional colleges hire academic types as administrators. For profits hire corporate types. Why doesn't the government put rules in place on who can work as administrators? This would help for profits.
Anonymous18833's reference to a "real college president" meant being president of a college that is not for-profit. Heald has been a for-profit for a long time. Ask yourself what qualifications most college presidents have. Would someone with only a bachelor's degree be hired as a college president anywhere except in the for-profit industry? I remember when Eeva was hired as president, and it was a surprise even for a for-profit to have a president with no graduate degree. That only sets Heald up for more criticism.
Eeva has been a Campus President! She worked at CEC in various roles of Operations and Campus President for nearly 10 years. I worked for her in admissions.
You're being ironic, right? Eeva is a nice enough lady, but has no legit experience as a real college president. She doesn't even have a masters degree. Who but a for-profit college would ever hire her as president?
The problem really goes back to CCi. They treated education far too much like a business. This then gets people involved in management and administration who are not specifically trained in academics, and who do not have a great deal of academic experience. I think we will see a shift away from this corporate approach as Heald moves away from CCi.
