FYI: Devry's stock price is unsustainable (a P/E of 44). and more bad news is coming soon about for-profit colleges in general. And when people learn about problems (e.g. tragic stories of student debt at Ross and Chamberlain), the vultures will start circling. This does not mean an end to Devry, but it will have to do some major reforming. In the meantime, people with ethics need to report unethical conduct.

@Anonymous36671, in the long run, Devry is going along the same path as Corinthian Colleges, Education Management, ITT Tech, and Career Education. Ross Medical School (unaccredited in the US), Ross Vet School, and Chamberlain Nursing School will be exposed as ripoff schools that target underperforming students who do not have the skills or abilities to practice medicine. Senator Durbin has already exposed some of their questionable practices.
The stock is up Camden, you would lose a lot if you put some real money on your bet. DV will be just fine.
Senator Durbin is well aware of Devry's malfeasance. If taxpayers were aware about this shady corporate welfare, they'd be very angry. "DeVry Lures Medical School Rejects as Taxpayers Fund Debt"...http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-09-10/devry-lures-medical-school-rejects-as-taxpayers-fund-debt.html
Devry may survive for awhile, but when people find out about the Ross Medical School scam, it could be game over (and executives in handcuffs).
devry likes to have managers, directors and vice presidents. devry does not hire enough worker bees. when layoffs occur, the worker bees get cut, the upper crust, stays, go figure that one out.
Yea, exactly. "Align our costs with revenue" is just a sneaky way (the Devry way!) of saying more layoffs. Good. They do the same thing as Univ of Phx and Corinthian, they just have better timing and lingo so it doesn't look as bad. They are still screwing over (serving) students! I can't believe people actually GO here still.
I believe more layoffs are coming, last Aug. we experienced a round and expect to see another round of cuts to align "our costs with revenue".
so how often does the DeVry Public Relations department view the comments on this website?
rumor has it more layoffs are coming August 2014.
DeVry has a hi PE because it is considered best of bred, but even as a BOB, 44 is very high.
