Guess who just had a layoff in 2015???? If you said Merck you was right.
over 40 your hit! female your hit! First they eliminate your office, move you into a cube, than say no more assigned seating, you lost a place to sit you lost your monitor, you lost all acess to supplies, no more cafetaria, merck converts a warehouse puts some glass up, paint the walls amd long bench seats and say that is your new seats, first come first serve. Have not received a raise in years, bonus cut in half, you rarely meet your target. Ah by the way we are building in Prague your job was eliminated. So sad to see a fine american company go down the drain. Who paid for those phony reviews they are a great place to work
Branchburg Facility in NJ is hit hard - January 2015, over 170 people, I think the exact count is 172. It was all over the news lately, 2015 is not shaping to be a good year. There was a thread on fiercepharma on this, folks have details about positions, etc.
West resources are well paid, that makes them a target every time we need to cut
West is typically our best performer, I am not sure why we would be cutting in the West
Too early to tell anything yet - sales folks (West) are always voulnerable
How in the world would someone know if we'll have layoffs in January 2015? Or any other month? A Stupid question, requires a stupid answer.
2015 will be the same as 2014. Pretty good form Merck and all of us
Nothing to report - we are doing just fine, never had less layoffs than right now

more layoffs, and launching of new products. Stock goes up, CEO receives 20M salary for job well done.
