Most operations offices and support offices are 38 hours here in Framingham, but some do work longer. Yeah the living wage issue is huge, but unlikely. The execs will leave when they're fired or the company is bankrupt.

None of this will happen. They honestly feel they deserve the bonuses. Most people do not really care if a bunch of execs start looking for greener pastures because they have not received bonuses. The exec turnover may be just what Staples needs. As far as the forty hour work week - I do not think anyone on salary in this company only works 40 hours, whether in stores or offices. I have known some GMs that treated the job like it was part time and attendance optional, but they are now gone.

Did they actually get their bonuses yet? I thought the compensation committee on the board of directors had to vote because the stockholders voted NO.
