How realistic is this? We'd probably have thousands of people lose jobs.

Is not a given, anybody has a list with stores that will close in 2015?
No BK but we will have layoffs in 2015. We will see many stores close. Just my personal opinion.
I think we are running out of cash and that it'll be realistic to expect a BK next year. We'll see, I think we need to downsize very quickly.
I think this is more or less 100% sure
I do not think RadioShack will be going to go through BK next year - we will be closing a bunch of stores though.
