I guess volume is picking up again. I got a call wanting to know if I was intrested in interviewing for a position. Many years of service for the company and you had zero compassion walking me out the door (Sullivan and min couldn't even get that right). I'm not the only one who got a call. I hope people think long and hard if you go back. Let them feel what they did. Btw heard UBS is a hot mess. Perhaps next time they won't get rid of all the top preformers. Karma is great.

You are right. I'm sure HR would have signed off on announcing to everyone that they were going to do layoffs, you might see some of your friends disappear, just sit tight and pray. That would have been a better plan. Move on. If you were there a long time, you got a nice severence. Its is heart breaking but when you lose tens of millions of dollars this is what happens. Did you think it wouldn't happen and that it was some government job where you can just go into deficit forever?

Being asked to come back is a positive thing when there are no other companies to work for, but I am getting tired of hearing the whole this is the market and this is the economy. You're right- there is no good way to lay people off but herding then all like cattle and leaving the rest to watch the slaughter for FOUR hours with no word? That is sick.
Layoffs are never easy and they are messy. There's no good way to do them mechanically.
I think it was classy by the company to offer to rehire if they could. You don't have to accept if you dont want to.

Have these jackasses fixed the contracts yet with Morgan and
UBS??? Are they still losing $ on every Morgan, UBS loan that
FNMA isnt the end investor? The way the business is evolving
away from GSE end investors, how does PHH make money w/ investment
banks that will fund the loan?............just a thought.
