Well said 5138. It is about humanity and being treated like a number. The shaking your hand while in the way out hit home.
I wouldn't call it mudslinging as much as I would call it facts. it is unfortunate but true just the same. I think we all understand the industry. The company itself who proclaims to "do the right thing" "treat customers like family" and so on... Does not set the example. It understandable when layoffs have to take place, I don't think the posters here at angry at the reality of the industry, i think it more that there is no humanity from leadership and higher ups. It's all based on favoritism and let me get mine while crushing you like a bug. No regard for the people who have worked hard with loyalty for so many years. It is that difficult to promote people who work hard and show good performance? It is too much to ask to be treated humanely? Is it crazy to shake someone's hand on the way out and say thank you for all your hard work, sorry to see you go? The people that spent the better part of their lives at PHH, missed their kids for many long nights and weekends when the company was busy, people who came to work sick, and women who worked up to the last day of their pregnancy. Then just let go like they never existed or mattered. I understand why the sour grapes. Absolutely.
