You really think your bonus is affected by one person leaving the company to increase this "bonus pool" as they like to call it? Your bonus is strictly weighted to your salary whatever % you land on after all of the BS metrics are weighed out is where you get your pay. Most everyone at this company is a 10% target bonus. All VPs are allowed to rate only two people in their group a "3" which doubles their target bonus and most VPs are giving 3s to their direct reports. So the non-supervisory people are going to get "2"s which mean 80% of your target bonus. So basically most everyone is getting 4% for 6 months times 2 for the "transformation bonus" to arrive at 8%. Not a dime more coming after that for 2014 so buckle up CHKers.
On the attack on Aubrey because he uses "leveraging"... Understand that CHK was built entirely on leveraging so your "corporate job" would not exist if it was not for this strategy. It may not have boded well in $2/gas world, but sure had a hell of a run. Go read the book "The Frackers" and really find out how CHK was built. March 7th can't get here fast enough!
