That was CEO Otterlini's statement a few years back. As PC market has shrunk, so have groups supporting it. Friends have left or moved into the growth bet areas. Metropolitan WAN and Larabee didn't pan out. Intel is spending the bucks on mobile. If they decide to give up on it, there is going to be big thud. Don't know how many people are working on the Internet of Things.
