Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Raytheon Goleta

This group (Raytheon in Goleta, Ca.) is a prime example of how our government operates. They just don't give a shit!

50 Raytheon Employees LAID OFF in Goleta, Ca

Surprised? Not given the company based in Goleta. I've been following this scenario for several years now and the word is "Management". From the HR department, FPEP (John Fraklin, Dave Nelson, Jeff Trexler, John Preston...just a few, the list is long!) to the numb-minded supervisors for the cleanrooms.

HOW has this group based in Goleta been operating? It is only a matter of time before the shop is wrapped up here. I have so many reports from current and past employees, all with the common concerns of "corruption".

Corruption? What do I mean...

Here are some of the issues brought forward:

-Expired chemistry being used on Mission Assurance products

-Calibrated equipment being lost (Hundreds over the last 6 years), only later to be found 6 months later in the hands of the operator (working certified, Mission Assurance programs)

-Another employee reported some of the exact concerns above (with heavy documentation) showing that after many years of collecting/auditing for expired chemicals and "lost" calibration, that frustration built up enough over the years, that he met with the Mission Assurance Manager (Ethan) and reported his findings. Here is a quick blip from what he submitted me:

"Expressed my concerns to the Mission Assurance Manager, which we met and discussed the issues at hand (I met with this group since the FPEP had brushed aside all issues concerning my audits, which clearly showed production chemistry expired by many months and 10-20+ calibrated items LOST. The MA Manager showed how his employees performed audits of this area. When I requested the report from him and reviewed it, it showed the lady assigned forged/filled in my f***en name! What happened after this?

The classic Raytheon move (Goleta Facility) said they will look into this and to please send me an email with the audit findings I had. I did and knew the sensitivity of sending this off to this group (I should never feel like this, since Mission Assurance is there to protect our Military and Public). So I made my first couple of sentences explain "PLEASE do not let Management know that I sent this to your group" I then followed up with "This could be the death of me, but I can't be in a position to go along and accept this situation that Management has put me in" The MA manager forwarded this onto my FPEP manager that day. Within days, my Manager then played games with me and sucked me into HR. Within two months, my Veteran status career at Raytheon was over! Way to solve your non-compliance status Raytheon!

Here are some clippings of what some others have said regarding this corrupt group based in Goleta, Ca.:

  • Very hard to move up if you are not one of the "select" golden children. Minimal raises. Poor management direction. Base pay low unless you leave/come back or are coming from a competitor. Typical male dominated company.

-Boring, slow paced environment.

Lots of non value added work is performed.

Many people in management position do not have the technical expertise to manage the people they manage.

-Keep the good performers, fire the lazy complainers instead of the other way around

-No positive interaction with or support from human resources, petty and vindictive administrative personnel, deceptive hiring practices relative to salary, lots of empty promises, layoffs

The Message:

Investigate these corrupt Managers and the evil empire of HR! How can Management continue to push product out the door that has missed the compliance check mark? It's just a matter of time...
