They came in two years ago, fired 35% of the IT staff on the spot, removed admin rights from all the users and now claim they are justified to outsource IT to CompuCOMpany because we can't keep up. But get this, with fewer people and no familiarity to the systems at hand, CompuCOM will somehow get the job done better and faster than us. Good luck with that CompuCUMsuckers.
Peck, who ever so conveniently hired all his old buddies from Levi Straus, did this exact same thing at Levis. They even outsourced to the same company, CompuCom! I have a sneaking suspicion that they are either receiving MASSIVE cash kickbacks from CompuCom for landing them yet another huge support contract OR, they have in fact have been working for CompuCom the entire time, even while at Levis Straus, as corporate plants. This seems to be the MO, swoop in, make things progressively worse, outsource to COmpuCOM and then cash in big time when ComputerCompany lands another huge contract. In a year or so they'll pull their golden parachutes, collect big money once more while not passing go, and the move on to another company, rinse and repeat, laughing all the way to the bank.
