The primary responsibility of the GDSS Sales Smartpoint Deployment, Ancillary Sales, TAS Sales and ISM Ancillaries
Relationship Management
· Maintain close relationship with;
· GDSS regional sales teams and other members of the GDSS central team
· Product managers and technical specialists
· Subscriber teams
· Airline customers
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Training, Education:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience of commercially managing products or online merchandising
· Understanding of airline GDS, fares structure and fares filing
· Commercial product management experience preferred to strong technical product understanding
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Graduate Bachelor's degree or equivalently qualified by experience
· Formal training/qualification or demonstrable experience of new product commercialization and/or travel or service related product merchandising online
· Strong commercial acumen and business leadership qualities
· Demonstrable success defining and launching sales or merchandising products in a service business
· Demonstrable track record of sales and merchandising online
· Demonstrated track record of innovation and proactivity in new business sectors / with new products
· Customer centric thinking and acting
· Outstanding communications skills for internal and external audiences
· Excellent relationship building skills with a good understanding of different cultures and how to work with them to deliver results, in a global organization
· Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
· Experience within the travel or service industry preferred but not essential
